How the Los Angeles curfew could impact on local LA sports events
LA Mayor Karen Bass announced a curfew in an area of downtown as a measure to combat disturbances in the city.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass issued a curfew on Tuesday due to ongoing unrest and protests in the downtown area of the city. For several days, demonstrators have been speaking out against indiscriminate raids carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and against violations of the rights of undocumented immigrants, such as the lack of due process.
In a press conference, Mayor Bass stated she would consult with law enforcement authorities regarding the duration of the curfew but noted it would likely remain in effect for several days.

Los Angeles curfew hours
For now, the curfew is in effect from 8:00 p.m. PT on Tuesday until 6:00 a.m. PT on Wednesday, June 11. The curfew applies to a one-square-mile area in downtown Los Angeles.
LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell warned that anyone not considered exempt who is found within the designated curfew area will be subject to arrest. According to the chief, the curfew is a necessary measure to protect lives and safeguard property.
Effective June 10, 8 PM-6 AM.

Curfew impact on LA sporting events
With none of the LA basketball teams having advanced in the playoffs, neither team are affected by the curfew.
However, WNBA team LA Sparks do play at the Crypto.com Arena in downtown LA and within the curfew zone. Fortunately, the team’s next two games are on the road (away in Las Vegas and Minneapolis) with the next home being on Tuesday next, and it’s difficult to see the curfew lasting into next week.

Dogders doubt
One team that may be impacted by the latest situation in Los Angeles is MLB team the Dodgers.
The current baseball champions face a trio of games against the San Francisco Giants on Friday with the game starting at 7:10 pm (local time).
Dodger Stadium borders the current curfew zone and at present it’s not clear if the game will proceed with fans already being advised to avoid travelling to downtown Union Station from where the Dodger Express normally runs.

Soccer impacted
Given their participation at the Club World Cup, MLS side LAFC will be playing games away from BMO Stadium for the next two weeks, however NWSL side Angel City do have a home game on Saturday against North Carolina with a 7pm (PT) start and although the stadium falls outside the curfew zone, it may impact on post game travel plans for fans.
